Planning your jewellery
Most couples come to us with the rings first, then realise there's more to plan. Here's the order we usually walk through.
01
Hers first, then his — or both at once. Designed to sit alongside the engagement ring, and against each other on the day.
02
Earrings, necklace, bracelet. Often a diamond stud or tennis bracelet that gets worn for years afterwards, not just on the day.
03
Gifts for bridesmaids, mother of the bride, mother of the groom. Smaller fine-jewellery commissions that match the bridal set in metal or stone.
04
Eternity bands for milestone anniversaries, a re-set of a family stone, a custom piece for the first child. All commissioned at our workshop.

How far in advance should we start planning our wedding jewellery?
Three to six months out is ideal. Bands take 2 to 4 weeks once the design is signed off (signature designs are quicker, fully custom is longer). For full sets — bridal jewellery, party gifts — we recommend booking your first consultation around four months before the wedding to leave time for design refinement and final fittings.
Can you make a matching set — bands plus bridal jewellery?
Yes. Most of our wedding clients commission their bands first, then come back for bridal jewellery, bridesmaid gifts, or pieces for the mothers. We can match metal, finish, diamond size, and design language across the whole set so it reads as one wardrobe.
Do you do bridesmaid gifts?
Often. Diamond studs, simple pendants and tennis bracelets are the most-commissioned bridesmaid gifts in our atelier. We can match the bridal set's metal and stone selection, and produce small batches in our workshop within 3 to 4 weeks.
Can you re-set a family heirloom for the wedding?
Yes — this is one of the most meaningful things we do. We can re-set a grandmother's diamond into a pendant for the bride or her mother, transform an heirloom ring into something the bride will wear daily, or use a family stone in the wedding band itself. We handle insured intake, assessment, and re-setting entirely in-house at our Brisbane workshop.
What diamonds do you use?
Every wedding piece — bands, earrings, bracelets, pendants — is set with E or F colour, VS1 clarity, ideal cut lab-grown diamonds. The same standard we hold across every Orlaithea piece. Each stone is IGI or GIA certified.
Can you ship our wedding jewellery to the venue?
Yes — fully insured worldwide delivery. Most clients prefer to collect the bands and bridal pieces in person from our Brisbane studio a week or two before the wedding, but we regularly ship to wedding venues across Australia and overseas. We coordinate timing with you and the venue directly.
The fastest way to plan a wedding wardrobe is to sit down at the workshop with our head designer, talk through bands, fine jewellery and gifts in one conversation, and try on samples in your hand. The first consultation is free and runs 45 to 60 minutes — bring your partner, bring your bridesmaids, bring whoever you want to plan with.
