Custom engagement rings, designed in Brisbane
A custom engagement ring at Orlaithea is not a configurator with drop-down menus. It is a conversation with Zac, our head designer, that becomes a sketch, then a refined design, then a ring hand-crafted from raw metal at our workshop on Edward Street. Custom does not mean expensive. Because we set certified lab-grown diamonds, E-F colour and VS1 clarity, most bespoke commissions land between $4,000 and $7,000 complete, about the price of an ordinary ring from a cabinet. Bring an heirloom stone to reset, a photograph to reinterpret, or nothing but a story: the first consultation is free, in person at the Brisbane showroom or by call, with no deposit and no obligation. If the moment is closer than a design process allows, our ready-to-ship engagement rings dispatch next business day, or browse the signature collection for designs that can be made yours in two to three weeks.
Not sure where to begin? Most commissions start from a style: a clean solitaire, a hidden halo with sparkle only the wearer sees, a symbolic three stone, or a toi et moi pairing two stones on one band. From there we choose the shape together, from the classic round to the elongated oval, and design the rest around you.

How much does a custom engagement ring cost?
Most Orlaithea commissions land between $4,000 and $7,000 complete, including a certified one carat lab-grown diamond. Because every ring is made to order in our own workshop, you choose where the budget goes: carat, metal, or detail. We design to your number, not the other way around.
How long does the custom process take?
From your first conversation with Zac to sign-off is usually one to two weeks, depending on how many design rounds you want. Hand-crafting then takes ten business days, and your ring ships fully insured with a video preview before dispatch.
Can I use an heirloom diamond or my own stone?
Yes. Resetting a family stone into a new design is one of our favourite commissions. Bring it to your consultation and we will design around it, or pair it with lab-grown side stones matched to its cut and colour.
Do I need to know what I want before starting?
Not at all. Most clients arrive with a feeling rather than a design: a Pinterest board, a photo, or just the story of the person the ring is for. Zac sketches with you from there, and nothing is locked in until you have seen the design from every angle.
