Why is it called a tennis bracelet?
At the 1987 US Open, Chris Evert stopped play to search for the diamond line bracelet that had slipped from her wrist mid-match, and the name stuck. It describes the style perfectly: an unbroken line of matched diamonds, secure enough to live in, elegant enough to stop a game for.
