On why we built this
For years, we watched lab-grown diamonds quietly find their place. What began as curiosity became something rarer, a shift that didn't fade. The same fire. The same hardness. The same brilliance. A different relationship with the earth, and with the people wearing them.
Orlaithea was made by a shift we couldn't ignore. We saw an opportunity to give lab-grown diamonds the craftsmanship they deserved, the same care, the same standards, the same considered design that has always defined fine jewellery.
Our intention was simple. To craft beautiful pieces, made by hand, around diamonds that don't ask you to choose between size, quality, or conscience.

The Founder, Zac Ireland
For the past several years, I've had the privilege of designing jewellery alongside my father, Nick Ireland, a master craftsman with decades of experience. Nick has spent much of his career creating extraordinary pieces for a highly selective clientele, specialising in rare coloured diamonds and some of the most exclusive, valuable gems sourced from around the world. His work is defined by an uncompromising commitment to beauty, precision, and lasting meaning.
Inspired by his legacy and artistry, I've grown up with a deep appreciation for the power of fine jewellery, how it can tell a story, mark a moment, and become something treasured for generations. With the recent rise and innovation of lab-grown diamonds, I saw an opportunity to honour that same craftsmanship while making our designs more accessible to a wider audience.
Our new collection brings together the best of both worlds: timeless, handcrafted jewellery made with the same care and attention to detail, now featuring ethically grown diamonds that offer exceptional quality and brilliance, at a fraction of the cost. This is luxury reimagined: beautiful, responsible, and made for everyone.

The Workshop
Our studio is located on Edward Street in the heart of Brisbane, where all of our lab-grown diamond jewellery is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted. By keeping our design and manufacturing process entirely in-house, we maintain complete control over every stage, ensuring each piece meets our exacting standards for quality, finish, and craftsmanship.
You'll work closely with our head jewellery designer, Zac, who brings a fresh perspective shaped by hands-on experience and invaluable knowledge passed down from his father, master jeweller Nick Ireland. With a deep appreciation for detail and a passion for modern design, Zac ensures every piece is thoughtfully crafted to reflect your vision, resulting in a bespoke creation that feels uniquely yours.

The first conversation
You sit with Zac, not a salesperson. We listen first. The brief is yours. The sketch comes after.

The design
Your ring is drawn and refined in front of you. Sketched, rendered, and adjusted until it is exactly what you wanted, often something you couldn't have described until you saw it.

The making
The same hands that drew it make it, in our Brisbane workshop. Two master jewellers, one diamond setter. Nothing outsourced. Ten business days, hand-crafted.

The handover
The ring is delivered by the person who designed it. Full insurance, video preview, and a relationship that doesn't end at delivery. We service every Orlaithea ring for life.
