Wedding bands · Brisbane · Bespoke
Every Orlaithea men's band is a one-off commission. Designed in conversation, hand-finished in our Brisbane workshop, and built for a lifetime on the finger that wears it.
Begin a commissionEvery Orlaithea men's wedding band begins with a conversation with our head designer, Zac Ireland, at our Brisbane workshop on Edward Street. No catalogue, no signature line. Four decisions to make together, then we build it from scratch.
Made, photographed, worn for life
None of the bands below are for sale. Each is a finished commission, photographed before it left our workshop. They exist here to show you what we can build for you.

“A men's band gets worn through the gym, the surf, the cooking, the work, the parenting, the everything. We design every one to that brief. Quiet on the finger. Built to last a marriage.”
Zac Ireland · Head Designer
The brief
A men's band is mostly geometry. Get these four things right and the rest follows. We'll talk you through every option in person at our Brisbane workshop.
01
From 3mm to 8mm. 5 to 6mm is the most-chosen range for daily wear, balanced between presence and comfort.
02
Flat, court (comfort-fit), low-dome or D-shape. Each one feels different on the finger over a decade.
03
18ct yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum. All hand-finished in our workshop. Two-tone combinations welcome.
04
Polished, satin or brushed, hammered, or milled. Or combinations: brushed centre with polished edges, milled rails.
01
30 to 45 minutes, in person at our Brisbane workshop or on a call. We talk through width, profile, metal, finish, any engraving, and budget.
02
We render your band in 3D with exact proportions. Refine until right. You sign off in writing before we begin crafting.
03
Hand-made in our Brisbane workshop. 7 to 10 business days. You receive a video preview before delivery or collection.
04
Collected in person from our Edward Street studio, or fully insured shipping worldwide. Lifetime polishing and servicing included.

How long does a men's commission take?
Three to four weeks from first conversation to delivery. The making itself takes 7 to 10 business days in our Brisbane workshop. The rest of the time is design refinement and sign-off.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before the consultation?
No. Most clients arrive with a rough idea — a width, a finish they like, a profile that feels right — and we shape it from there. The conversation is part of the design process. The first consultation is free and runs 30 to 45 minutes.
What does a custom band cost?
From $1,800 AUD for a 4mm 18ct gold flat band, up to $4,800 AUD for a 7mm platinum band with hand detailing. We give you a fixed quote in writing after the consultation, before any work begins.
Can you match an existing band, or build one to pair with hers?
Yes. If you'd like the men's band to read alongside an Orlaithea engagement ring or wedding band, we'll match the metal, finish and proportions so the two pieces sit naturally together. Bring the partner ring to your consultation if possible.
Can a men's wedding band have diamonds?
Yes. Men's diamond wedding bands are a small but growing part of what we make — Commission 05 and Commission 06 above are both diamond-set examples. We use the same E/F colour, VS1 clarity, ideal-cut lab-grown diamonds we set across the rest of our atelier. Stones can be added at any width from 4mm up, and we'll talk you through the right size, count and spacing to suit the finger they'll sit on.
Flush-set or channel-set — which diamond setting suits a men's band best?
Both work, and the right one usually comes down to how you use your hands. Flush-set diamonds sit fully embedded into the metal with no raised edges, so nothing snags on gloves, ropes, surf or steering wheels — this is what most of our clients choose. Channel-set diamonds sit between two raised rails of metal, which gives the band a slightly more architectural look and a touch more brilliance, at the cost of a tiny lip you'll feel against your other hand. We'll show you both at the consultation in a sample size.
What about engraving?
Internal engraving is included with every commission — initials, date, a phrase, coordinates. External engraving and pattern work is quoted at consultation.
Can it be resized or refinished later?
Yes. Every Orlaithea band includes one free resize within 90 days and lifetime polishing and re-finishing at our Brisbane workshop. Resizes after 90 days, including for life changes years later, are quoted at cost.
While browsing online is convenient, sitting down at the workshop is where a commission actually begins. Visit us at 150 Edward Street, try on widths and profiles, feel the difference between platinum and gold on the finger, and walk through finish samples in your hand before any sketch is drawn. The first consultation is free and runs 30 to 45 minutes.
